Church Alive Community Church cable programming is sponsored by a church based nonprofit organization called, Church Alive Community Church. Bishop Dr. Timothy Birkett and Church Alive Community Church has worked for more than
twenty-two years sponsoring many worthwhile outreach programs. These
programs
served a very large constituency with a myriad of needs. As a result,
Bishop Dr. Timothy Birkett and Church Alive Community Church received seven Beta Awards
from
BronxNet Cable.
Church Alive
Community Church cable television programs began in 1982 on
Paragon Cable of Manhattan, New York and were one of BronxNet
television's first
features on the air. Church Alive Community Church's newest program,
STAY
ALIVE WITH CHURCH ALIVE, is televised throughout the New York City
area and
Northern
New Jersey reaching an audience of approximately 1.5 million families.
Dr. Thomas O達rien, a board certified Family
Physician and Clinical Nutritionist joined Bishop Dr. Timothy Birkett
and Church Alive Community Church in August 2003. Dr. Thomas
O達rien. who has practiced medicine in the
Bronx, New
York for ten years. With his experience, Dr. Thomas O'Brien
has enhanced the program by providing high quality community health
education topics to the program. In conjunction with Church Alive Community Church, Dr. Thomas
O達rien has
developed a show called ASK DR. TOMMY O.
Ask
DR. TOMMY O is a nonprofit,
volunteer program designed to offer real solutions to real problems
through patient education. In live shows, viewers call in and ask Dr.
Thomas O達rien
questions related to the show's topic. While addressing the caller's
specific needs,
Dr. Thomas O達rien also presents variations regarding the show's topic to
appeal
to a more personalized understanding for a broader audience. Some
popular
program topics have been Asthma, Breast Cancer, Diabetes, Hypertension
and
Prostate cancer. Dr. Thomas O'Brien is committed to excellence.
